ROCKFORD, Ill (WTVO) — A man was arrested Thursday after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop according to Rockford Police Department. Police said officers attempted to stop a vehicle in the 2800 block of North Rockton Avenue. According to officials, the vehicle fled but became disabled in the area of Halston and Rockton Avenue. The driver 31-year-old Devon Hardnett, allegedly ran from officers before being arrested in the 2500 block of Conklin Avenue. Investigators said officers recovered 20 grams of crack cocaine from Hardnett. Police said Hardnett was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but left the hospital and is currently not in custody. Hardnett faces multiple charges including possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
