北京时间9月8日凌晨，郑钦文在美网女单第四轮以7-5、6-3击败8号种子斯瓦泰克，晋级八强后，即时世界排名从赛前第121位升至52位。郑钦文因肘部手术排名一度跌出前100，本届美网只能从资格赛打起。第三次打进美网八强后，她成为2021年埃玛-拉杜卡努之后首位从资格赛杀入美网女单八强的选手。
