Markwayne Mullin has a bizarre view of memorializing 9/11

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin appeared on Fox & Friends to talk about the 25th anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11. 'I'm not a big anniversary person,' Mullin said, (possibly to his wife's chagrin). 'And to be honest with you, 9/11 isn't a day that I just love to celebrate, because some people do celebrate the success that America has. For me, it puts kind of a bad taste in my mouth, and I think it does to a lot of other people.' The braintrust over at Fox & Friends then asked the DHS secretary to recall where he was on that fateful day in September 2001. 'At that time I was actually at a customer's house,' Mullin said, adding that the events changed his outlook on life. 'I actually tried to join the military three times after that, and, because of some previous injuries they never would accept me, which is crazy because I try to keep myself in good shape.' Mullin didn't elaborate on what those previous injuries were, but here's hoping they weren't any of the elusive injuries President Donald Trump used to sidestep military service.
