Sabroom, Tripura, 7th of September, 2026 : Ahead of the ADC Village Council elections, West Ludhua in Sabroom witnessed a major political flare-up following an alleged seat-sharing dispute between the BJP and TIPRA Motha. BJP workers reportedly became agitated after learning that TIPRA Motha would contest all the seats in the area. The protest later took a dramatic turn when the party office was set on fire and completely destroyed.
According to local sources sources, TIPRA Motha has chosen to field candidates in all seven wards of West Ludhua ADC Village. The absence of BJP nominees from the proposed seat arrangement has reportedly triggered anger among the party's local workers.
BJP workers reportedly expressed their anger by setting fire to the party office in Ludhua Upper Bazar. The blaze completely destroyed the office and caused considerable tension in the area, with locals gathering at the scene.
