Murree admin reviews security, operational micro-plans ahead of anti-polio drive

MURREE, Sep 18 (APP):Murree Deputy Commissioner, Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi, chaired a high-level review meeting to finalize operational arrangements, security protocols, and field targets ahead of the upcoming anti-polio vaccination campaign. The meeting, attended by Chief Executive Officer Health, medical officers, education department officials, and police representatives, focused on strategies to achieve 100 percent vaccination coverage across the district. According to a press release issued on Friday, the health officials briefed the chair on team formation, field training modules and door-to-door distribution logistics, while education authorities were directed to leverage schools for community awareness and student access. Directing police authorities to deploy dedicated security cover for frontline workers, Deputy Commissioner instructed all line departments to maintain close inter-agency coordination and utilize all available resources to ensure every child in Murree receives preventive drops. Separately, the Deputy Commissioner also conducted a surprise inspection of MC Girls Elementary School Sunny Bank to evaluate educational standards, administrative discipline, and basic facilities provided to students. During the visit, he reviewed teacher attendance, inspected classroom environments, and examined overall sanitation across the school premises. In response to briefings from school staff regarding operational requirements, the Deputy Commissioner ordered relevant authorities to address infrastructure challenges on a priority basis, emphasizing that maintaining discipline and essential amenities in public sector schools remains a core administrative responsibility.
