Woman killed in Jackson hit-and-run crash A pedestrian was struck and killed early Sunday in Jackson. Officers were called just before 2 a.m. to North State Street and Briarwood Drive, where someone reported that a woman was lying in the street. Police determined that the woman, 56-year-old Pamela Ellis, had been killed in a hit-and-run crash. Advertisement Police do not have a description of the vehicle that struck and killed Ellis.
