KUWAIT CITY, Sep 8: Security authorities have arrested two Sri Lankan expats in Salmiya after they were allegedly found in possession of 37 sachets containing a crystalline substance suspected to be a narcotic. The Hawally Governorate Security Directorate, represented by the Operations and Patrols Department, made the arrests while a security patrol was carrying out routine duties in the area. According to the Ministry of Interior, officers spotted the two men digging in an open area. When the cops approached them to investigate, one of the suspects attempted to flee but was quickly subdued and arrested. A precautionary search of the two suspects led to the seizure of 37 sachets in total. Of these, 27 sachets were found in the possession of the first suspect, while 10 sachets were found in the possession of the second. The two suspects, along with the seized substances, were referred to the competent authorities for further legal action.
