Mt. Bachelor gets early-season snowfall as resort prepares for fall hours

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Winter is starting to make an early appearance at Mt. Bachelor, with the resort receiving additional early-season snowfall over the Labor Day weekend. Mt. Bachelor will remain open for Labor Day today, Monday, September 7th, with the resort's Pine Marten lift running until 7 p.m. Starting Tuesday, September 8th, Mt. Bachelor will transition to its fall operating schedule. The resort continues to offer summer activities, including scenic lift rides and mountain biking, with operations subject to weather and conditions. The recent snowfall comes as winter approaches at the mountain. Mt. Bachelor expects the 2026-27 ski season to begin in early December, or sooner if snow and mountain conditions allow. The resort is offering 2026-27 season passes, which include winter access and unlimited scenic rides on the Pine Marten lift during summer 2026.
