The Browns' offense is not loaded with the most promising fantasy assets. The unit is young and still developing, but the quarterback play holds most of it back to an extent. During the 2026 season here on Browns Wire, we will review all fantasy-relevant skill players for the team and share whether they are worth a start. Each position has players that can help or hurt your fantasy team, so this will be a form of start or sit. In this piece, we will be looking at quarterback Deshaun Watson and whether he is worth plugging in after being named the starter during the preseason. This may be a shocking take, but we are not going to be suggesting you start Deshaun Watson in Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars' defense ranked 22nd in pass defense but ranked in the top half in passing touchdowns allowed. The unit isn't a super scary one, but it is one that will test a Browns offense that has a new line group, rookie wide receivers, and Watson, who is playing his first regular-season game in two years. It just isn't the right time to be desperate enough for a starting quarterback in fantasy to have to put him in your lineup.
