Chrysler recalls more than 569,000 vehicles. See recall list

Chrysler is recalling more than 569,000 vehicles due to various issues, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Chrysler is recalling 328,381 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE vehicles. The rear coil springs may be incorrectly installed and detach from the vehicle while driving. Dealers will replace the rear coil spring lower isolators, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed Sept. 29. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Vehicles already repaired under the previous recalls will need to have the new remedy completed. Chrysler is also recalling 239,131 2025-2026 Ram 1500 vehicles. A radio software error may cause the rearview camera image not to display. The radio software will be updated over-the-air or by a dealer, free of charge. Chrysler is also recalling 2,017 2025-2026 Chrysler Voyager, Chrysler Pacifica, and 2026 Chrysler Voyager Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. The brake pedal position sensor capacitor may be cracked, which can cause a loss of electronic stability control. Dealers will inspect and replace brake pedal position sensor, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to mailed Sept. 29. The engine compartment wiring harness ground connections may fracture and result in a loss of drive power, or a loss of function in the windshield washing system, headlights, air conditioning, or engine cooling fan Dealers will replace the engine compartment wiring harness ground terminals, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed Aug. 31. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in March 2027. Ford is also recalling 10,001 2026 Explorer, Bronco, Bronco Sport, Mustang, and Ranger vehicles. The engine piston domes may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can result in piston dome failure and lead to a loss of drive power. Dealers will inspect the engine pistons and replace the engine long block, if necessary, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed Sept. 4. Due to improper software programming, the Alliance In-Vehicle Infotainment system may fail to display the rearview camera image when the vehicle is placed in reverse. Dealers will update the Alliance In-Vehicle Infotainment software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 24.
