The Russian Ministry of Defense has proposed to oblige military personnel serving under a contract and who have been convicted without a custodial sentence to return part of the lump sum payment for the conclusion of the contract. This was confirmed on September 7 by the relevant draft resolution published on the Federal Portal of Draft Regulatory Legal Acts. According to the document, the amount will be refunded, calculated in proportion to the period remaining until the end of the contract at the time of the grounds for recovery. The new rules are planned to be applied to military personnel who have been found guilty of crimes but continue to serve. The news is being updated
