As fuel costs climb, public and private transport fares spike immediately, making daily commutes difficult for students, workers and everyday travelers. This surge in commuting costs threatens the future of many students, forcing families to make difficult choices about whether they can even afford to send their children to schools and universities. This jump in transportation expenses triggers a chain reaction, driving up the prices of food, groceries and essential kitchen items that rely on supply chains. Households struggle to balance monthly budgets against skyrocketing utility bills — such as electricity and gas — and basic nutrition. Consequently, families are forced to cut back on non-essential travel and routine spending just to survive. Small businesses also face mounting operational and logistics costs, which slow down economic growth and deepen hardship for the common citizen.
