Riot Games has released a new developer update detailing what fans can expect from the upcoming League of Legends season.
Music will take center stage, but the update also revealed changes to team communication through voice chat, new champions coming to Classic, and much more. Let's take a look at everything that has been revealed. Team Voice
Team Voice is the next expansion of League of Legends' existing pre-made party voice chat. This will allow you to communicate with everyone on your team without constantly having to type in chat.
They are implementing a series of tools designed to help players manage their experience and give everyone the option to try the feature. Better noise cancellation
Faster connection
More stability
New voice modulation system
New voice skins
Extensive behavioral assessment system
The final point aims to limit access for players with disruptive behavior who may take advantage of voice communication to amplify their actions.
Additionally, players with an Honor Level below three will not be able to use Team Voice until they raise their Honor Level. These players will still be able to listen to team communications, as Riot does not intend to overly impact team coordination.
Many of these improvements will also carry over to the premade voice parties. These changes are first coming to North America and Oceania in Patch 26.20. If everything goes as planned, the update will also be rolled out in Korea, Latin America, and Brazil.
Later on, Riot Games will look into expanding the feature to additional regions. Voice Chat is coming to League of Legends in some regions (Photo by Riot Games) Other Updates
