Alibaba, Pakistan Post agree to automate sorting centres

The first phase will cover 85 General Post Offices (GPOs) and target 65% of PPOD's revenue receipts, according to the document. Another initiative involves the implementation of the National Action Plan of the National Gemstone Policy 2026-30, with the Ministry of Industries and Production serving as the lead ministry. Technical teams from the Universal Postal Union, PPOD, and Pakistan Customs are also engaged in integrating the Customs Declaration System with WeBOC/ACS. Together, the initiatives reflect Pakistan Post's ongoing efforts to modernise postal infrastructure, expand digital payment mechanisms and strengthen technology-based service delivery.
