International Openings: Dining Chain, DIY Retailer

* TGI Fridays (Dallas) has inked a pact with Devolli Group (Istag, Kosovo) to open a total of 10 restaurants in Kosovo, Albania and North Macedonia. The restaurant/bar chain says the agreement 'marks an important milestone in TGI Fridays' international growth strategy and strengthens the brand's global momentum, which continues to expand through its franchise-focused development model,' the company said in a news release that noted this latest pact is one of several overseas moves the chain has made. As part of this partnership, Devolli secured rights to sub-franchise of the brand throughout the territory, creating a platform for long-term expansion throughout South-Eastern Europe. The companies did not release specifics on when and where the first 10 eateries will debut. Overall, TGI Fridays has nearly 400 restaurants in 41 countries, including roughly 75 in the U.S. * E-tailer Vevor (Shanghai) has unveiled plans for its first store in Europe next year, in France. The chain, which opened its first physical location earlier this year in Houston, made the announcement at the IFA Berlin 2026, a tradeshow showcasing the latest in electronics, home appliances and future tech. With approximately 15,000 SKUs sold in Europe, Vevor currently operates 22 warehouses there. 'France is already one of our strongest markets in Europe, with a deeply rooted DIY and home improvement culture, making it a natural place for us to expand our physical retail presence.'
