Bromley Council drops case against Crystal Palace star Eddie Nketiah

Bromley Council has dropped legal proceedings against Crystal Palace striker Eddie Nketiah after he complied with a building notice. Mr Nketiah, 27, was prosecuted by the south east London council for failing to execute works within the required timeframe, relating to alleged actions between February and August 2025, after he was issued with a notice under section 99 of the Building Act 1984 to 'execute works'. Sandra Torma, prosecuting, told Bromley Magistrates' Court today (September 8) that the council was withdrawing the case. Magistrate Timothy Nathan asked Ms Torma: "Is there anything to be said? Or are you just withdrawing it?" Read more Ms Torma replied: "No. Thank you." The court said the case was withdrawn because Mr Nketiah had 'complied with the requirements'. The footballer, who lives in Bromley, did not attend the hearing. Mr Nketiah joined Crystal Palace in 2024 and has made 54 appearances, scoring nine goals. He previously played for Arsenal and on loan for Leeds United.
