Karachi weather update: Is rain expected today?

By The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday forecast moderate to isolated thunderstorms and rain in several districts of Sindh, while Karachi is likely to experience isolated thunderstorms and light rain. According to the Met Office, the monsoon low-pressure system over Southeast Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat has now moved over Kutch and the adjoining Arabian Sea. The system is likely to move further west-southwestward. Under its influence, moderate to isolated thunderstorm-rain is expected in Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Jamshoro and Hyderabad districts today, the PMD stated. It also forecast isolated thunderstorms and light rain in Karachi Division today. The Met Office said Karachi's weather is expected to remain mostly cloudy and humid, with chances of isolated thunderstorms and light rain.
