Dexter: Resurrection season 2 has finally received an official release date, while fans have also been treated to a new trailer.
The second season of the Dexter sequel series, which will see Michael C Hall reprise his role as the titular Dexter Morgan, will drop its second season on 30 October on Paramount+.
The new trailer shows Hall's Dexter getting an eye test and trying on a new pair of glasses, only for the season 2 release date to appear, as well as the words "He's Back" and "He's Sharper Than Ever".
The character is then shown handling his knives and making a stabbing down motion.

The synopsis for season 2 teases "Dexter Morgan caught between two killers — one with decades of notoriety and a lifetime of kills behind him, and the other a fresh young face terrorising New York in ways no one has ever seen."
It continues: "Meanwhile, Dexter battles a new and unexpected enemy: a mid-life crisis. Harrison (Jack Alcott) continues his own pursuit of justice as father and son face their darkest chapter yet."
We know from previous casting confirmations that the killer "with decades of notoriety" is the New York ripper (Succession's Brian Cox).
It's also been confirmed that Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens is set to play a killer known as The Five Borough Killer in season 2, while The Last of Us star Gabriel Luna will appear as the Sleepy-Eyed Strangler, but it's unclear if either killer will be the "fresh young face" described in the synopsis.
Steven's character was previously described as someone "who, much like Zodiac, taunts the police with phone calls threatening the murder of innocent citizens. When he follows through with the awful deeds... the city and the police are terrorised."
Alongside Hall, other returning cast members in season 2 include Uma Thurman, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf and Dominic Fumusa.
Also returning are Desmond Harrington, James Remar and Krysten Ritter, while other new faces alongside Stevens and Luna include Bokeem Woodbine and Nona Parker Johnson.
