Katten Adds Former Meta Counsel Brandy Worden as Los Angeles Partner

Katten has added Brandy Worden as a partner in its Intellectual Property practice in Los Angeles, strengthening the law firm's capabilities in privacy, technology and artificial intelligence. Worden joins with experience in both private practice and in-house legal roles, including leading a global privacy team at Meta. She advises companies on privacy and AI governance, regulatory investigations, cybersecurity incident preparedness and response, and disputes involving privacy and data protection. 'Brandy's arrival reflects the rapidly growing client demand for sophisticated counsel on privacy, data governance, AI and emerging technologies,' said Deepro Mukerjee, chair of Katten's global Intellectual Property department. Worden works with clients across technology, retail, healthcare, hospitality, media and financial services. Her experience includes advising organizations on federal, state and international privacy and technology laws and developing compliance programs involving AI, blockchain, biometrics, cloud services, social media and other data-driven technologies. Katten said the appointment also expands its presence in the Los Angeles technology market as companies face evolving regulatory requirements around data use and emerging technologies. Worden holds several International Association of Privacy Professionals credentials, including Fellow of Information Privacy, Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional and Certified Information Privacy Professional designations for the United States and Europe. She also holds a Harvard Cybersecurity Risk Management certification.
