Hello, I ended up needing a little break. The last piece I did was rather large so I needed a bit of reset. It was emotional but also truly felt good to write it. I am having old memories come back like childhood into early adulthood. I remember one thing and then there is a bit of flash and see more. My brain is rebuilding and creating all the synapses so per the course. I leaned into visitors (my parents) and childhood bf. These were very necessary. And it's so nice to spend time with loved ones not in the hospital. Needed medicine. Therapy at UCI continues (physical, occupational, and speech). I am leaning into patience even though probably some of the hardest work I am getting through. Just being patient. Recovery is long and longer than anyone has patience for (literally). Reading continues on. Just wrapped 'How to do Nothing' by Jenny Odell and these times I gave it the time deserved. I read while also reading short stories or fiction and it allowed me to focus a bit more. Required reading for everyone and something I will came back to. The final line in the acknowledgements spoke to my soul- 'May we all be so lucky to find our muses in our own neighborhood.' About half way through Less by Andrew Sean Greer and just started Lost Lambs by Madeline Cash (got this at the free library- shoutout to my good friend who researched ones in my area and visited with me). I am sticking with reading multiple books like I did all my life until 2020 or so. Thanks for being here and supporting me. With you, KB
