West Tennessee mourns passing of Jackson City Court Judge Blake Anderson

Jackson City Court Judge Blake Anderson passed away over the weekend. Judge Anderson was known throughout Tennessee for his work with environmental and mental health courts—striving to keep the state beautiful and ensuring those struggling with mental health issues received the support they needed. In a statement, Mayor Scott Conger described Anderson as kind, thoughtful, and sincere, adding that he cared deeply about people and had a gift for making others feel better after speaking with him. Judge Anderson's funeral service is scheduled for September 12 at the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson.
