A varied programme of visual art, music, comedy and live performance lies ahead at the Tinahely Courthouse Arts Centre, with events running from mid-August through to late November. The line-up ranges from a new exhibition examining our relationship with phone photography and contemporary takes on traditional music to stand-up comedy, theatrical storytelling and performances by some of Ireland's best-known singers and musicians. Jessica Callan — As It Is… Until Saturday, September 5 Jessica Callan's exhibition explores the captured images through which people increasingly experience and communicate their lives. Drawn from photographs on the artist's own phone, the selected works play with the different realities. CLADA Friday, September 4, 8pm Connemara five-piece CLADA bring a contemporary edge to traditional Irish music, blending fiddle, guitar and accordion with drums and bass and drawing influences from folk, pop, funk, bluegrass and dance music. Bernard O'Shea. Culture Night — Ceol Ársa Cláirsí Friday, September 18, 8pm Cormac Breatnach, Steve Cooney, Aisling Ennis, Malachy Robinson and Eamon Sweeney celebrate Irish harp music from the 17th and 18th centuries, performing works associated with composers including Turlough Carolan and Ruairí Dall Ó Catháin. Enya Martin — Acting the Divil Saturday, September 19, 8pm Comedian Enya Martin explores modern fitness culture, a long-term childless relationship and her journey from growing up on a council estate in the 1990s to flying first class to Australia in a funny and personal show. Dame Stuffy Saturday, October 3, 8pm The self-appointed Queen of Ballymun brings her quick-fire comedy, outrageous humour and larger-than-life personality to the Courthouse stage, with a style compared to Lily Savage and Joan Rivers. Aindrias de Staic — By the Light of the Silvery Moon Friday, October 16, 8pm Storyteller and musician Aindrias de Staic is joined by percussionist Brian Fleming and harpist Aisling Lyons for a blend of spoken word and live music rooted in Irish folklore, mythology and the traditional seanchaí spirit. Read more See photos as Paddy Casey plays concert at Beyond the Trees Avondale's treetop tower in Wicklow Crash Ensemble featuring Tinahely Women's Choir — Everything Is Connected Friday, October 23, 8pm Crash Ensemble joins Tinahely Women's Choir for composer Ed Bennett's Everything Is Connected, a collaborative work bringing professional musicians and community performers together to explore musical, human and environmental connections. Joanna Kidney — The Future has an Ancient Heart Saturday, October 24, 11am–12.30pm; workshop 1.30pm–4.30pm Artist Joanna Kidney presents a screening of her new short film The Future has an Ancient Heart, exploring connections with the natural world, followed by informal conversation. An optional talisman-making workshop will take place during the afternoon. Bernard O'Shea — Desperate House Husband Friday, November 6, 8pm Bernard O'Shea turns the trials of stay-at-home parenting into comedy, sharing stories of threatening domestic appliances, sleepless nights and covert playground reconnaissance in a show about the realities of modern family life. Tolü Makay. Tolü Makay Friday, November 20, 8pm Nigerian-Irish alternative pop and soul artist Tolü Makay brings her emotionally charged live show to Tinahely following performances across Europe and the US and the release of her 2025 EP, People Still Cry in the Summer. Maria Doyle Kennedy Saturday, November 21, 8pm Singer and actor Maria Doyle Kennedy, whose varied career spans more than three decades and 11 solo albums, performs at the Courthouse. Her collaborations have included Damien Rice, John Prine, Paul Brady and Dónal Lunny.
