Rome wasn't built in a day, and the same goes for Kylie Jenner's custom Hidden Hills, Calif., 'dream house.'
On Sunday, Sept. 6, the beauty mogul, 29, posted her 'first vlog in a really long time' to her YouTube channel. In the video, entitled 'building my dream house,' the Kardashians star invites her followers to come along as she visits the construction site of her future Los Angeles County home.
Kylie first purchased an empty five-acre plot of land for $15 million in 2020, according to Architectural Digest . Since the purchase, she's offered followers a few rare glimpses at the work in progress. In a series of Instagram Stories in January, she shared a few of the most notable design elements, including her 'dream two-story closet.'
'I really wasn't going to post about it, but it's kind of all over the internet anyway,' Kylie says in the video. 'So I have to do some approvals and you're coming along with me. Let's go.'
The Kylie Cosmetics founder started the video tour outside, showing off some landscaping with a field of lavender and 'ancient' olive trees. The natural elements sit adjacent to a 'reclaimed cobblestone' driveway that leads to the main residence.
'My beautiful dream Italian home,' Kylie says as her cameras pan across the exterior stone and windows of the building.
Once inside, she shared a peek of the 'gorgeous' reclaimed wood that would be used for the flooring. She then compared two shades of plaster color for the main area of the house, opting for the lighter shade.
Moving into the kitchen, she shared a look at the wood that'll be used for cabinetry. However, they'll need to be stained with a different color for the final design.
She then moved into the basement, showing the future sites of a gym and spa area. Elsewhere, Kylie compared plaster colors for the 'main guest room.' While debating her choices, she wandered into the guest bathroom to consider the 'stunning' marbled tile inside. Marbled tile in Kylie Jenner's main guest room's bathroomCredit: Kylie Jenner/YouTube
Kylie ended the tour by venturing outside, where a 'sports court' will be installed on a fenced-in concrete patio. In another area of the property, the mother of two shared future plans for landscaping at the foot of a stone staircase.
'I'm doing outdoor dining,' she explains. 'I have a fountain down here and a pizza oven. I wanted somewhere to go to throw dinner parties and birthdays.' The olive trees gifted to Kylie Jenner by her sister Kendall Jenner.Credit: Kylie Jenner/YouTube
She noted that her sister, Kendall Jenner, 30, was doing construction to her nearby home and 'had to get rid of all these baby olive' trees. Kylie offered to take the plants and they now remind her of her sister 'every time I look at them.'
