NMSU Alumni pond stocked with new fish

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The Alumni Pond at New Mexico State University was recently stocked with bluegill, minnows and channel catfish. The university said these species will help the overall pond ecosystem recover. While officials say the campus community should enjoy the pond, they should avoid fishing for now. The university is also asking people not to release any additional fish, ducks, turtles or other animals. This helps keep the pond as healthy as possible while it adjusts.
