Telugu YouTuber Nandana caught at Hyderabad's RGIA for ‘orchestrating' multi-crore UK visa, job fraud

Vijayawada: Telugu YouTuber Nandana, popular as Nandu of 'Nandu's World', was taken into custody by the RGIA police in Hyderabad on Monday for allegedly defrauding unemployed people of around ₹15 crore by promising them jobs in the UK and visa sponsorships. According to several complaints filed at the Ibrahimpatnam police station in NTR district, Nandana and her husband Jagarlamudi Madhukar targeted unemployed people seeking jobs in London and those looking to extend their UK visas. They also allegedly operated offices under the name 'Destiny Consultancy' in Vijayawada, Guntur, and Hyderabad, and collected ₹15 lakh to ₹20 lakh from each client. Police sources said that Nandana and Madhukar collected a total of around ₹15 crore from the complainants. The complainants also alleged that the couple gave them fake Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) and other documents as part of their job application process. A CoS is a unique digital reference number issued only through the UK Home Office Sponsor Management System (SMS) by a licensed employer to confirm a job offer for an eligible foreign worker. Based on these complaints, the Ibrahimpatnam police registered a case and initiated an investigation. It also issued a lookout circular against the couple. On Monday, the RGIA police in Hyderabad identified Nandana, who has reportedly settled in London, based on the lookout circular and stopped her at the immigration terminal at the airport. The police subsequently took her into custody and informed the Ibrahimpatnam police about her detention. Meanwhile, police sources said the Vijayawada city police are on their way to Hyderabad to take Nandana into custody and question her.
