Security forces have killed 49 terrorists in joint intelligence-based operations conducted across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The operations were carried out on intelligence inputs against terrorist networks in different areas of the two provinces.
12 terrorists killed in KP
According to the ISPR, 12 Indian-backed Khawarij were killed during operations conducted in Bannu, North Waziristan, Orakzai and Khyber districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The security forces conducted the operations on intelligence inputs and targeted terrorist hideouts and positions.
37 terrorists eliminated in Balochistan
In Balochistan, security forces killed 37 terrorists belonging to Fitnatul Hindustan during 10 intelligence-based operations.
The operations were conducted in Mastung, Mach, Khuzdar and Panjgur, according to the ISPR.
A large quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives was recovered during the operations.
Security forces also recovered improvised explosive devices (IEDs), remote-detonation devices and explosive drums from the terrorists. Their motorcycles were also seized.
Clearance operations continue
The ISPR said search operations were continuing to locate and eliminate any remaining terrorists linked to the networks.
Security forces and law enforcement agencies have reaffirmed their determination to accelerate operations against terrorism and dismantle networks operating with foreign patronage under the resolve of stability.
