According to Mr. Ho Phuc Hai, Nghe An has a border of over 468 km bordering three provinces of Laos, creating favorable conditions for strengthening exchanges and connections between the youth of the two countries. Over the years, the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union has regularly organized cultural exchange activities and student networking events; and supported Lao students studying at universities and colleges in the province. In particular, international youth volunteer teams have directly traveled to provinces and villages in Laos to provide free medical examinations and medicine, support education, transfer agricultural techniques, and give gifts to disadvantaged students. The Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and the Vientiane Capital City Youth Union shared and exchanged practical experiences on youth union activities. These activities not only bring practical value to the community but also create an environment for young people from both countries to better understand and bond with each other. According to the Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, young people are the "youth ambassadors," contributing to extending the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos. The Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and the Nghe An Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association presented commemorative gifts to the leaders of the Vientiane Capital Youth Union and the Vientiane Capital Young Entrepreneurs Association. As part of the visit, earlier that morning, the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union of Vientiane paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of Nghe An province. At the ceremony, Mr. Houmphaeng Sisombath, Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union of Vientiane Capital, expressed his pleasure at visiting Nghe An and thanked the provincial leaders for their warm and cordial welcome. The visit aims to contribute to strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic linkage between Vietnam and Laos; and to create opportunities for young people from both localities to exchange experiences in youth union work and youth movements.
