'Miles for Meaning' Marathon to Support Children With Diabetes at Giza Pyramids

Teenagers Turn an Idea Into a Community Initiative The initiative was created by two teenagers, Omar and Daniel, aged 16 and 17, who developed the concept around their belief that sport can serve a purpose beyond competition. Their idea centers on giving every mile of the race a broader meaning, allowing participants to contribute to a cause that can have a tangible impact on children's daily lives. Ministry of Health Supports the Marathon Miles for Meaning is being organized in cooperation with Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population, which supported the initiative and helped turn the original concept into a community event. The organizers expressed their appreciation for the ministry's backing, saying the cooperation demonstrates how young people, the private sector, the community and state institutions can work together to create sustainable social impact.
