1 dead after car fire in north Bakersfield: police

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A person is dead after a car fire caused by a crash Tuesday morning.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, officers responded to the 3800 block of Marriott Drive for a report of crash involving a vehicle and other parked vehicles.
Police found a fully engulfed vehicle with the driver still inside.
The Bakersfield Fire Department put out the fire and the person was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
