Prince Harry reacts to uncle Charles Spencer's shocking Diana funeral story
Prince Harry may not have been aware of the many behind-the-scenes things that happened during his mother's funeral as he just 12 at the time.
Experts had predicted that Charles Spencer's new book about Princess Diana, which the Palace had not seen a copy of ahead of its release, would stir the pot once again, causing a massive problem for the King.
King Charles's famously messy marriage and divorce with Princess Diana remains fresh in the media and more so, as the royal rift between Prince Harry and Prince William continues to grow.
According to a report by Page Six, Prince Harry knew the contents of the book, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, before the announcement was made. The book is set to hit the shelves on Tuesday.
'Harry knew what was in the book – it didn't come as a shock,' one insider revealed.
It is also believed that Harry and his uncle had a discussion about the book when the Sussexes had come to Britain in July.
The 9th Earl has been fiercely protective of his nephews and kept in touch with both, William and Harry, despite the estrangement between the two.
Spencer has also not held back on his criticism of the royals. He delivered a blistering speech at Diana's funeral, 'We, your blood family, will do all we can to continue the imaginative and loving way in which you were steering these two exceptional young men.'
In his book, Diana's brother wrote the then-Prince Charles was in 'stream of anger' about the boys walking behind Diana's coffin. To the Earl's horror, his ex-brother-in-law said, ''Rest assured, we'll forget her soon enough!'
