US Vice-President JD Vance has said economic pressure will force Iran towards an agreement, while Washington's aim is to prevent Tehran from rebuilding its nuclear facilities. Vance said Iran must decide whether it wants to remain under economic pressure or seek better relations with the West. He said the time had ended for Iran to use the Strait of Hormuz, a vital oil route, as a weapon. Vance said that the route for energy supplies through the Strait of Hormuz must be kept safe, adding that the Iran's monopoly over the Strait of Hormuz had been ended.
