There are a handful of aces taking the mound Tuesday, from Orioles righty Brandon Young to Astros righty Hayden Wesneski and Twins deadline acquisition Dean Kremer. Will Young's consistent workload be enough? Can Wesneski keep an impressive streak alive? How will Kremer look in his second straight start against the Tigers. Here is our full breakdown of where we think each starting pitcher will wind up in the strikeout column.

MLB Strikeout Prop Bets Breakdown
Young is fresh off a seven-strikeout performance against the Red Sox, and although the Orioles lost, they are still 18-6 when he takes the mound this season. He has gone for four-plus punchouts in 11 of his last 13, 15 of his last 18 and 17 of his last 21. The Guardians have also struck out six and seven times versus opposing starters in their last two games, allowing them to record four-plus strikeouts in four of their last five. The fact that Young has pitched into the seventh inning in 10 of his last 18, and into the fifth in 17 of those starts, makes him pretty darn reliable when it comes to workload and the strikeout market as a result.
Since returning from Tommy John surgery in July, Wesneski has made seven MLB starts. He has reached at least four strikeouts in all seven appearances while facing 22.6 batters per outing. Wesneski owns a 0.53 ERA and 0.706 WHIP over his last three starts, striking out five, six, four and six batters in his last four. Since he notched four strikeouts in 6.0 innings of two-run ball against the Blue Jays – the second-most strikeout-averse lineup in MLB – Wesneski should be able to keep it up against a Phillies squad that ranks No. 15 in strikeouts per game.
Kremer has somewhat stabilized a potentially disastrous season since joining the Twins at the trade deadline. He allowed 14 runs in his last two starts with the Orioles, bringing his ERA up to 6.50 and his FIP up to 6.23. While his 4.99 ERA in a Minnesota uniform isn't anything special, his 3.81 FIP signifies a step in the right direction. He has also posted five-plus strikeouts in four of his last five starts. Kremer's last start actually came against these same Tigers, and he proceeded to strike out five in just 4.0 innings of work. He was able to hit this line despite putting up a 9.00 ERA and 2.000 WHIP in a loss. Detroit struck out seven times in 4.0 innings against Joe Ryan on Monday, plus 11 times in 6.0 innings versus Gavin Williams on Sunday and 12 times in 6.0 innings against Parker Messick on Saturday.
