. Photo: File A young man drowned while swimming in the sea at Manora during a family picnic, while a search operation is underway for another youth who also went missing in the water, police said. SHO Maripur Ansar said a family from Orangi Town had arrived at Manora Beach Hut No. N66 for a picnic when two young men drowned while bathing in the sea. Lifeguards and Edhi divers launched a rescue operation after receiving the information. After about 30 minutes of efforts, they recovered the body of one of the youths, identified as 23-year-old Jamshed, son of Waseem. Police completed the necessary legal formalities and handed over the body to the deceased's family. The search for the second youth was continuing, police said.
