Liberty, Central East deliver Week 2 statements

Week 2 of the high school football season brought statement wins, late drama and several standout individual performances across the CIF Central Section. Liberty-Bakersfield earned the weekend's biggest road victory, while defending state champion Central East passed its first major test. Bullard also remained undefeated behind a five-touchdown performance from sophomore quarterback Chase Case.
