The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominees for its Player of the Month award for August, with Sri Lanka's Sonal Dinusha, England's Ollie Robinson and Bangladesh's Hasan Mahmud shortlisted for the prestigious honor. Sonal Dinusha earned his nomination after producing a remarkable batting performance during Sri Lanka's two-Test series against India. He scored a combined 420 runs across the Tests in Galle and Colombo, making a significant contribution with the bat. England fast bowler Ollie Robinson also impressed during his side's home Test series against Pakistan, playing a key role in England's back-to-back victories. Robinson delivered a career-best bowling performance in the first Test, claiming 8 wickets for 80 runs, before repeating the feat in the second Test with another eight-wicket haul for 35 runs. Bangladesh pacer Hasan Mahmud completes the shortlist after playing a crucial role in his team's historic Test victory over Australia. In the Test at Darwin, Mahmud took 6 wickets for 55 runs in the first innings and followed it up with 3 wickets for 56 runs in the second innings.
