Fleming Co. Sheriff's Office warns area residents about phone scam

FLEMING COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - The Fleming County Sheriff's Office is warning area residents of a phone scam. The sheriff's office said it has received reports of area residents being called by a Sgt. Hall regarding jury duty. There is no Sgt. Hall employed by the sheriff's office. Anyone receiving such a call is advised to hang up, not provide any personal information, and not send any forms of payment, including money, gift cards, or Bitcoin.
