After suffering a loss in Week 1 to Auburn, the Baylor Bears now turn their attention to Week 2 of the college football season.
For their second game, it will be their home opener which is against Prairie View A&M. During the Auburn game, quarterback DJ Lagway went on to suffer an ankle injury, which his status for this Week 2 game has now been revealed.
DJ Lagway Expected to Play Week 2
Head coach Dave Aranda recently went on to describe Lagway as day-to-day, but said he wants him to play on Saturday.

Lagway went on to finish the Auburn game, which is a strong sign that the injury isn't completely severe. However, it was clearly impacting him, as Lagway could no longer move effectively and the mobility part of his game was neutralized.
He still completed 27 of his 54 passes for 333 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception during Baylor's 17-16 loss. No matter what, how Lagway continues to progress throughout the week will be important, as while Aranda wants Lagway to play, they need him healthy for later in the season when they face Big 12 competition.
