Auburn football injury updates: Where Tigers' health stands for Week 2

AUBURN — There shouldn't be too much concern for Auburn football on the injury front as it heads into a Week 2 matchup with Southern Miss. Head coach Alex Golesh highlighted just four Tigers on Monday, Sept. 7, when giving a rundown of his roster's health. They were rotation players who didn't finish this past weekend's season-opening win against Baylor, and Golesh indicated each should be ready to roll when the Tigers welcome Southern Miss this weekend. GAME GUIDE Odds, predictions and key storylines Auburn football vs Southern Miss Cole Skinner and Jacob Strand, Auburn's starting interior offensive linemen, were capable of returning to the Baylor game if needed. Edge rusher CK Murray was also able to return and should be ready to play against Southern Miss. Golesh described another edge rusher, Ole Miss transfer Da'Shawn Womack, as day to day, but added that Auburn hopes "to have him back here by the end of the week and ready to rock and roll." "Outside of that," Golesh said, "we left it healthy and encouraged." The pair of defenders combined for just three tackles against Baylor, as well as 68 snaps. Skinner and Strand logged 73 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus, missing the last three plays of what'd be Auburn's final possession.
