As the millennia-old holiday is set to begin, Jews in Las Vegas are preparing to celebrate the Jewish New Year.
Rosh Hashanah starts at sundown on Friday, September 11, and ends at nightfall on Sunday, September 13.
It's an occasion for reflection and is often celebrated with prayer, symbolic foods, and the blowing of a traditional horn called a shofar.
Rabbi Levi Harlig of Chabad of Southern Nevada joined ARC Las Vegas and Evan Schreiber to get the celebration started.
