Odisha CM Reviews Preparations for High-Level Investor Engagements in UAE : The Orissa Today

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has arrived in Abu Dhabi to spearhead a three-day investment outreach programme from September 9 to 11. Accompanied by Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, and senior officials, the delegation was welcomed by Additional Chief Secretary Hemant Sharma and representatives of the Indian Embassy. The Chief Minister reviewed arrangements for upcoming investor and institutional meetings, emphasising focused and outcome-driven discussions. He also met the Indian Ambassador to the UAE, highlighting the strengthening of India-UAE ties and the welfare of Odias living abroad. The outreach programme aims to attract investments in manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, petrochemicals, and emerging industries, while fostering technology collaboration and long-term industrial partnerships. Majhi underscored Odisha's competitive advantages, including abundant resources, modern infrastructure, port connectivity, affordable power, skilled workforce, and market access. Key engagements include meetings with International Holding Company (IHC), Indian Business and Professional Group (IBPG), the UAE Minister of Investment, and sector-specific discussions in petrochemicals and chemicals.
