Foreign Minister Timcho Mucunski paid an official visit to Ukraine , where he met with his Ukrainian counterpart, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. The talks focused on deepening bilateral and multilateral political dialogue and cooperation, economic ties, the European prospects of both countries, security challenges, and North Macedonia's participation in Ukraine's recovery and reconstruction.
Mucunski reaffirmed North Macedonia's continued support for Ukraine, stressing respect for its sovereignty, territorial integrity and international law, and saying borders cannot be changed by force. He also emphasized the importance of Ukraine's security to European and transatlantic security and called for coordinated efforts by allies and partners to establish a just and lasting peace, saying U.S. leadership and European responsibility must work together.
Mucunski also met Ukraine's First Deputy Speaker Oleksandr Korniyenko and joined Sybiha in laying flowers at the Wall of Remembrance for fallen Ukrainian defenders.
