Beacon Pointe Advisors, an acquisitive Newport Beach, Calif.-based registered investment advisor with about $63 billion in client assets, has appointed Katie Cullen, formerly of BlackRock, as chief growth and integration officer and Sarah Green, formerly of Vanguard, as chief risk and compliance officer. Cullen brings experience in strategic execution, executive coaching and organizational growth to oversee the firm's Practice Management, M&A and Strategic Integration teams in the newly created role, the company said. She previously led BlackRock Business Consulting, where she worked with financial services executives and advisors on strategy and business performance. She also held senior strategy roles at Schwab Advisor Services and served 11 years as a U.S. Army Reserve Logistics Officer. Green joins from Vanguard, where she served as global head of financial crimes and code of conduct, overseeing compliance programs including know-your-customer, anti-money laundering and trade surveillance. She previously led FINRA's AML examination unit and held several roles at the SEC, managing examination programs for broker/dealers. "We went through a thoughtful and rigorous process to identify the very best candidates," Beacon Pointe CEO Matthew Cooper said in a statement. "They bring tremendous expertise and will strengthen key strategic areas for Beacon Pointe." Glenmede Hires Senior Advisors Across Four Markets Glenmede, a Philadelphia-based wealth and investment management firm overseeing $53 billion in assets, has appointed several senior advisors across its New York, Northern New Jersey, Cleveland and Pittsburgh offices. Louis Porta joins the RIA from Wilmington Trust as investment advisor and managing director in New York. He has 25 years of experience building customized portfolios for families and institutions. Christina Duffy left Beacon Trust for the role and joins as a fiduciary advisor and managing director in Northern New Jersey with 25 years of wealth advisory experience. Michael Novak, who had been with Northern Trust Corporation, joins in Cleveland as a fiduciary advisor and managing director with more than 30 years of experience, while Jack Glending joins as an investment advisor and vice president. Steven Kaczynski Jr., formerly with PNC, joins in Pittsburgh as an investment advisor and managing director with more than 12 years of experience advising ultra-high-net-worth families. "These additions reflect Glenmede's continued ability to attract experienced professionals within the communities we serve," Adam Douberly, regional director of Glenmede's private wealth group, said in a statement. Novare Capital Hires Legacy Planning Specialist from Vanguard Novare Capital Management, a Charlotte, N.C.-based RIA overseeing more than $2 billion in assets, has hired Jessica Rickert as senior vice president, legacy planning specialist. Rickert spent the past 13 years at Vanguard managing client relationships, including eight years as an ultra-high-net-worth relationship manager. After that, she worked as a family legacy specialist, partnering with wealth advisors and estate and tax strategists to support families through wealth and business transitions. "By intentionally building relationships with the next generation early, advisors can help families move through those transitions with greater confidence and continuity," Rickert said in a statement. Novare sold a minority stake to Emigrant Partners in January 2025. Citi Private Bank Names Investment Counselor Team Lead for Central Region Citi Private Bank has appointed Michelle Pryor as investment counselor team lead for the central region, based in Dallas, Texas. Pryor joins from Bank of America Private Bank, where she most recently served as a market leader in Dallas, focused on enhancing the client experience and fostering collaboration among team members. Prior to that role, she worked at J.P. Morgan Private Bank and a Dallas-based family office. Pryor will join the firm in November, according to the bank. More News
