Ruth Kadiri Breaks Silence on Death Hoax, Says 'I Am Alive and Safe'
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has rejected reports claiming that she died in an accident, describing the reports as false and distressing.
Kadiri addressed the claim in a video shared on her Instagram page, where she confirmed that she was alive, safe and had not been involved in any accident.
The actress said she became aware that multiple social media accounts were circulating the same false report about her alleged death.
According to Kadiri, she identified about seven or eight accounts making the claim.
'Report the accounts'
Rather than engaging with the accounts or attempting to correct their posts individually, Kadiri urged her followers to report pages spreading the false information.
She expressed concern over what she described as the willingness of some people to go to extreme lengths to cause others pain, particularly through fabricated reports of death.
The actress also spoke about the emotional impact of seeing such claims circulated about her.
She asked people to leave her alone, describing the situation as tiring and upsetting.
Kadiri confirms she is safe
Kadiri's direct response remains the latest confirmed development surrounding the reports.
There is no verified information indicating that the actress was involved in an accident or that she died.
Her statement therefore puts to rest, at least for now, the social media claims surrounding her alleged death, while highlighting the growing challenge posed by false celebrity reports circulating online.
