ROSEBURG MAN JAILED FOLLOWING ALLEGED DISORDERLY CONDUCT

September 8, 2026 9:20 a.m. A Roseburg man was jailed following an alleged disorderly conduct incident on Sunday night. A Douglas County Sheriff's Office report said just after 8:00 p.m. neighbors and residents of his own home, called to say the 32-year-old Nicholas Bartlett was having a mental episode and throwing things around at a home in the 100 block of Blacktail Lane in the Wilbur area. Bartlett reportedly broke a chair and an air conditioner at his residence and then went next door to a church and threw a picnic table down some stairs into another neighbor's back yard. The man had no explanation for his actions other than some incoherent statements. Bartlett was charged with second-degree counts of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief along with a third-degree count of criminal mischief. He was detained without bail.
