Two local startups have been selected to pitch at the upcoming State of GovTech 2026 in Maryland. Seattle-based Govstream, an AI-driven permitting intake, and Bellevue-based Samora AI, a multilingual voice AI for citizen information lines, are among the 11 startups that will pitch at the seventh annual national government-technology summit. Both companies were chosen from a field of 150 applicants. The event, hosted by 18F, brings together startups, government leaders, investors, and academics to discuss the future of government technology. Govstream aims to streamline regulatory processes with AI, while Samora AI provides accessible 24/7 citizen services in multiple languages. The two-day summit will feature panel discussions, keynote speeches, and a 'demo pit' where startups will showcase their products. The selected startups are considered to be on the cutting edge of innovation in government technology
