Finland's MTV Oy licensed the rights to adapt "The Political Assembly" format

The Finnish commission represents the format's third local version, while casting is actively underway in three additional territories. Produced locally by Podzilla Studios, the series will feature a high-profile political cast, to generate maximum public engagement. Meanwhile, the format continues to build strong momentum across the region. Following the standout success of Denmark's Højskolen on TV2 earlier this year. The initial Danish run earned widespread praise for reintroducing a human perspective to the political debate during a time of increasing polarization and pressure on democratic values. The broadcaster is bringing the brand back to launch the Danish parliamentary year this October. Hosted by Natasja Crone, this series broadens the debate by pairing prominent politicians with debaters and citizens to address core societal issues. Originally created as "Het Conclaaf" by Eric Goens at Bargoens for VTM in Belgium, "The Political Assembly" achieved critical acclaim for its major public impact ahead of the 2024 Flemish elections. The format gathers top political leaders for an intensive weekend retreat in an isolated setting, combining structured debate with reality to humanize political discourse away from standard studio environments.
