Perloff: LSU made Clemson look ‘bush league'

View More Video Transcript The game we thought was gonna be game of the weekend, LSU versus Clemson, that was a no-show. Yeah. Back in the day when someone didn't show up for work, a no call, no show, that's what happens with Clemson football. Yeah. At no point did that feel like a football game. And LSU stepped on the gas. They didn't pump the brakes in any way. Sam Levitt, the new quarterback, the transfer from Arizona State, he did a little more running than passing, but he looked fantastic. And that was a 10-point spread. That was considered a nice game. And it- A possible game at least. And it was non-competitive. Yeah. LSU out-rushed them 309 to 40. That's not good. I mean, that's what you expect when Michigan plays a MAC team. This made the ACC and Clemson look like a Bush League Conference compared to the SEC. We called this on, on Friday. I, I, I lean more towards you gotta use the transfer portal, you gotta use the NIL. And I think Lane Kiffin made a, an emphatic statement with this win. Yeah. Lane Kiffin made a statement at halftime. Yeah. He was rallying the c- troops, and he didn't step off the gas in any way. Lane Kiffin, even in the pregame, he's sampling Morgan Wallen for his walkout, and he had Livvy Dunne and Theo Von as his walkout crew- when he's walking through the Tiger fans. Yeah, it's pretty cool. I mean, I You said it, I think, last week. You gotta embrace the bad guys. Oh, yeah. He's stepping into it. All right. Does this say more about Clemson going forward or LSU going forward? Actually, I think it says more about Clemson. Yep. As in, we may be done with Dabo Sw- Are you calling the season? I, I'm calling the season. Is that allowed? We said on Not So Fast you never say it's over before it's over, but you may be right. I mean, listen. They had a lot of pro players last year and didn't win anything. All those pro players are gone. They did not replace them. How are they gonna get better? This was embarrassing. I mean, I hate to say one loss counts for more than one loss, but in this case, you're not what your record says. This is a bad, bad 0 and 1. Yeah. You don't aspire to be in the Pinstripe Bowl, no offense, if you're Clemson football. And I think in two weeks, Clemson versus UNC in the Buyout Bowl- Oh with Bill Belichick. Yeah. I mean, that's a must-win. That's, that is You don't wanna say must win ever. That's another thing. So we're doing, you know, is it over and must win in the first month, and I say yes. Yeah.
