New details have emerged regarding the final moments of Andy Williams, best known to wrestling fans as The Butcher, following his tragic passing over the weekend.
Williams, who competed for AEW as part of The Butcher & The Blade, wrestled at an Enjoy Wrestling event on Saturday before suffering a medical emergency at ringside.
According to Enjoy Wrestling, Williams collapsed after his match and hit his head on the floor. The promotion's two doctors on staff immediately attended to him as the situation quickly became more serious.

Enjoy Wrestling, via KDKA CBS reporter Ricky Sayer, has now provided an account of what happened following Williams' collapse, confirming that he was taken to Allegheny General Hospital at around 9:45 p.m.
The promotion stated that Williams was initially conscious but unresponsive after the ambulance was called. His condition then deteriorated rapidly, with his pulse fading. Enjoy Wrestling subsequently called 911 again to provide an update and was informed that police were on their way.
The event was brought to an end as the audience was asked to leave. Doctors performed CPR and used an AED provided by police while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
Williams was transported to Allegheny General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Enjoy Wrestling stated that it was informed of his passing by his tag team partner, Jesse Guilleman, shortly after midnight.
'Medics on site indicated that the symptoms were consistent with a cardiac event, but we were told that the cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy,' Enjoy Wrestling stated.
Williams' passing marks a heartbreaking loss for the wrestling community. He was widely known for his work as The Butcher alongside The Blade, with the duo becoming prominent figures during their time in AEW.
