Eritrea: Commemoration of Bahti Meskerem and Golden Jubilee of Revolution School

Nationals in Switzerland enthusiastically commemorated the 65th anniversary of the beginning of the armed struggle for independence and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Revolution School. The event, held in Geneva on 5 September, was attended by members of the Revolution School and heads of national organizations across Switzerland. At the event, Mr. Ismail Mohammed-Nur, head of Public and Community Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy, gave a briefing on the profound significance of the beginning of the armed struggle for independence and the establishment of the Revolution School for the Eritrean people. Mr. Tedros Meles, one of the coordinators of the commemoration of the Revolution School's 50th anniversary, gave a briefing on the school's history and development. He said that the school, established by the EPLF during a difficult period, had produced committed and proud citizens. He also congratulated the school's members.
