Work underway at new Athenian Mediterranean in Ashburn

Construction is officially underway at the new Athenian Mediterranean restaurant coming to Ashburn. The Burn first broke the news about Athenian late last year and shared an update on the plans in March . Now, we know that construction has started at the restaurant which will be located in the Goose Creek Village shopping center. That's the Harris Teeter-anchored plaza at the corner of Belmont Ridge Road and Sycolin Road. Athenian Mediterranean is moving into the lower level spot near the Rita's Italian Ice that used to be the home to Massaya, a Lebanese restaurant. On social media, the Athenian team has posted some images of the construction work underway. Images: Athenian Mediterranean 'Something special is coming to Ashburn. We still haven't seen a sneak preview of the Athenian Mediterranean menu yet, but they are expecting to open sometime later this year. So stay tuned!
